Dsip spray 5 mg – product information
Dsip spray 5 mg This is a research formulation containing DSIP, or Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide – a short neuropeptide described in the scientific literature as a nonapeptide associated with research into central nervous system activity, the regulation of biological rhythms and the mechanisms of slow-wave sleep. This compound was originally isolated from the cerebral venous blood of rabbits and has since been analysed as a reference peptide in neurochemical and neuroendocrine studies.
Chemically, DSIP is a nonapeptide with the sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu. Its molecular formula is C35H48N10O15, and its molecular weight is approximately 848.8 g/mol. Owing to its small peptide structure, DSIP is used in research investigating the relationship between peptide structure, molecular stability and the biological activity observed in experimental models.

Scope of research into Dsip spray
Scientific publications indicate that DSIP has been used in research into the mechanisms of slow-wave sleep and the brain’s bioelectrical activity. This compound has also been analysed in the context of the neurochemical regulation of biological rhythms, stress responses and neuroendocrine processes.
In laboratory studies, DSIP is also described as a tool for analysing adrenergic transmission, the activity of the dopaminergic system, and changes in the levels of selected neuropeptides and biological mediators. In the scientific literature, it has also been used to investigate structure–activity relationships, the stability of short peptides and to compare DSIP analogues in preclinical models.
Mechanism of action at the molecular level
The mechanism of action of DSIP has not been fully and unequivocally elucidated; consequently, it is often described in the scientific literature as a compound with a multifaceted and still evolving profile of activity. Research suggests that DSIP may influence selected neurotransmitter systems and modulate the cellular response associated with adrenergic and dopaminergic transmission.
In experimental models, its effect on neuroendocrine activity, the regulation of selected stress mediators and processes related to the functioning of the hypothalamic–pituitary axis was also analysed. Due to the lack of a definitively confirmed receptor for DSIP, it remains a compound used primarily as a research tool for assessing complex regulatory mechanisms in the nervous system.
The scientific significance of Dsip spray
Dsip spray is an interesting research material for laboratories studying neuropeptides, sleep mechanisms, stress regulation and the biological basis of circadian rhythms. DSIP is one of the classic peptides described in the context of research into slow-wave sleep; however, its exact mechanism of action remains a subject of scientific debate.
Thanks to the extensive literature on DSIP, it can be used as a reference material in projects relating to peptide pharmacology, neurochemistry, neuroendocrinology and research into short peptide sequences.
