Epithalon 10 mg – product information
Epithalon 10 mg is a synthetic research peptide belonging to the group of regulatory tetrapeptides, also described in the literature as Epitalon and AEDG peptide. This molecule consists of four amino acids and is identified by the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly (AEDG), which forms the basis of its structural classification as a short peptide with a small size and well-defined structure. In experimental studies Epithalon 10 mg is analysed primarily in the context of processes related to pineal function, regulation of diurnal rhythms, telomerase activity and changes in telomere length.
In the scientific literature, the peptide Epithalon 10 mg is primarily described in relation to mechanisms involved in the regulation of gene expression, telomerase activity and maintenance of telomere stability. A classic in vitro publication indicated that epithalon induced expression of the catalytic subunit of telomerase and increased enzymatic activity in cultures of human fibroblasts, accompanied by telomere elongation. Therefore, this compound remains an important research tool in analyses of cellular ageing, replicative cell viability and age-related molecular markers.
An important area of scientific interest also remains the relationship between activity Epithalon 10 mg and pineal gland function and melatonin regulation. In reviews and publications on gerontological peptides, Epithalon is described as a molecule investigated for its effects on neuroendocrine mechanisms of ageing, diurnal rhythm and selected adaptation parameters. In parallel, its association with gene expression in the pineal gland, retina and brain is indicated in the literature, broadening the scope of analyses on this molecule beyond telomerase and telomeres alone.

From a scientific characterisation perspective, the following are among the main research strengths Epithalon 10 mg include its simple, well-described structure, small molecule size and the presence of literature analysing its relationship with telomerase, telomere length and pineal function. However, the available studies emphasise that much of the data comes from preclinical models, cellular studies and older publications in the area of experimental gerontology, so interpretation of the results should take into account the experimental nature of this substance and the limited scale of modern, high-quality clinical trials.
